Loose Diamond :

The Briolette of India is believed to be the oldest diamond in the world. It is thought to date from the 12th century when it was owned by Eleanor of Aquitaine. Some modern historians suggest that Eleanor’s son, Richard the Lionheart, carried the Briolette into battle with him when he went on the Crusades. The term briolette refers to the way the diamond is cut and the stone is a colourless gem that is 90.38 carats.
