The pale brown rough weighing 40.23ct (it is the largest diamond ever found in the U.S.) was found in 1924 in the world’s only diamond mine open to the public. The Crater of Diamonds State Park in Arkansas is a dig-for-fee operation for tourists and rock hounds. Since 1906, more than 70,000 diamonds have been discovered there. It was cut into 12.43ct elongated emerald-cut. M color pale brown with pinkish tint – VVS2 clarity.
