For the past 10 years My collections have been inspired by my Latin heritage, the most recent being a tribute to the late Juan Gabriel. Today, I am honored to say that I was asked to dress the incredibly talented singer and songwriter Miguel for the Oscars!
Alongside Gael Garcia Bernal and Natalia Lafourcade, Miguel performs “Remember Me” from the animated film Coco, which celebrates and brings to mainstream media one facet of our diverse Latin culture. I love fashion and new trends, but rather than focus on the latest trend of fad, we take a look within ourselves and put out into the world the one thing we know best, ourselves and our heritage which we hold very close to our hearts.
I always look back at who I am , where I come from and how I want people to remember me, and I couldn’t be prouder to have been a part of this rare and unique opportunity to truly showcase our talents, and give the world a chance to remember US.
